CRABOT 1152x695Born from a partnership between PITOM and Sigma Ingegneria, a leading company in precision mechanics and prototypes development, CRABOT is a multifunctional terrestrial robot  deployable for indoor / outdoor operations, with capability to move even on rough and muddy terrain, and in the presence of wind and rain.

Designed to operate in extreme conditions, CRABOT is able to automatically detect, avoid or overcome the obstacles on his path.
CRABOT can continue in its mission remotely controlled by an operator, but can even navigate in complete autonomy. Thanks to piCore autopilot, CRABOT is fully autonomous robot, operated and monitored from the Ground Control Station piMEGS. The operator sets the mission plan, CRABOT does the rest. The information taken from the onboard sensors are sent to the operator in real time. The operator has the ability to reschedule routes, work areas, and even the internal control parameters of the robot. In addition, the entire mission can be easily followed through the web, using enabled accounts.
CRABOT is equipped with independently steerable and actuated wheels, each separately controled by piCore. The system is natively designed to respond to requests for customized chassis, accessories, weight and size based on the specific application requirements.
